Common Pitfalls (No Spoilers)

Relying on Health Bars – Sekiro’s combat rewards posture control far more than raw HP damage.
Ignoring Deflection – Blocking alone is insufficient; well-timed deflects turn tides.
Overlooking Enemy Patterns – Each foe has predictable tells; failure to learn them leads to repeated deaths.
Forgetting Stealth Options – Avoiding unnecessary fights via stealth can ease progression.
Underestimating Mini-Challenges – Smaller enemies can disrupt rhythm if taken lightly.

Beginner Tip

Practice deflection timing – Mastery here transforms combat efficiency.
Use stealth when overwhelmed – Bypass or weaken groups to avoid attrition.
Study boss tells – Each pattern repeat reveals vulnerabilities.
Balance posture vs. health – Prioritize posture breaks for quicker victories.
Utilize prosthetic tools – Tools like axes and shuriken add tactical layers.

Nothing beats the ‘clink’ sound of a perfect deflect in this game. It’s brutal and will make you want to throw your controller, but once the rhythm clicks, you feel like an absolute god. Best combat system FromSoft has ever made, hands down.
